Our Journey and Inspiration

Founded in 2013 in London, UK, by two friends and design enthusiasts, Luke Cowdry and Robert Heads. reHumane has always been driven by a clear mission: to bring nature closer to everyone, everywhere. Our inspiration is drawn from Biophilic design, an approach that integrates elements of nature into built environments. Renowned for enhancing mood, productivity, creativity, and health, this approach has gained global recognition. However, traditionally, its application has been limited to commercial or large-scale projects. At reHumane, we're shifting this narrative. We are making Biophilic design accessible in the global home market for the first time, pioneering a slightly different path we call 'biophilic furniture.
